PwnageTool

PwnageTool is an iPhone jailbreaking tool created for the Mac OS X that creates custom iOS firmware images to user-defined specifications. The tool was created and is frequently updated by the iPhone Dev Team. PwnageTool was initially released April 3, 2008 and it became popular when version 2.0 of iOS was released July 19, 2008. It has been frequently updated since then by the iPhone Dev Team which has been actively playing a big role in the iOS jailbreak community.

The iPhone Dev Team has discussed that they plan to merge PwnageTool and Redsn0w together in the future. We will update this page with the latest info as it is released.
